Tet, is the Vietnamese Lunar New Year. Which is a time of lively celebrations and family traditions. In 2024, my family and I set out on an unforgettable journey to the city of Nha Trang. Where we celebrated Tet UTSAV amidst this coastal backdrop. Also visit its famous tourist places/attractions. Our TOUR was a harmonious blend of cultural immersion, relaxation and exploration, combining the rich TRADITION of Tet celebrations with the charm of Nha Trang’s iconic sites.

Where is Nha Trang City

Nha Trang is a coastal resort city in southern Vietnam known for its beaches, diving sites and offshore islands. Its main beach is a long, curving stretch along Tran Phu Street backed by a promenade, hotels and seafood restaurants. Aerial cable cars cross over to Hòn Tre Island, and the nature reserves of Hòn Mun and Hằ Tằm islands, reachable by boat, have coral reefs.

Traveling by airplane is the shortest way to get to Nha Trang. From Ho Chi Minh City, it takes you 1 hour to get to Nha Trang,

We missed the flight booking. This is the peak travel time of the year for Vietnamese people.

We missed the train booking also.

We have only options for Limousine buses. That was also booking fast and about to full.

So it is advisable to book travel tickets 1 month in advance to get the best transport services.

We booked Limousine bus tickets online. We started in the night and reached Nha Trang early in the morning. Bus dropped us at Bus station. We caught a taxi to reach our hotel.

Here is our 4days 3nights Nha Trang tour itinerary.

1st day=

It was early morning and we wanted to check in early. So we paid extra. We checked into the Muong Thanh Luxury Nha Trang hotel. It was near the beach and with 4 star services. Breakfast was very good, rooms were spacious, good location, surrounded with convenient stores, restaurants, beautiful city view, beautiful sea view.

We need to book 2 rooms for 2 adults and 2 children. Hotels count teenagers as adults. And do not allow 4 adults in a room.

Enjoyed good breakfast in the hotel and took some rest.

Evening visited Nha Trang City center, April 2 square.

Watched New Year eve activities near April 2 square and enjoyed fireworks.

Enjoyed Dinner at Yashoda Indian Restaurant.

2nd day= It was Vietnamese New year day 10 February 2024.

Best time to visit a temple to pray and welcome the New Year.

We visited Po Nagar Tower temple complex.

Ponagar Tower:

Commonly known as Thap Ba.

  The Po Nagar Cham Towers are a complex of temples built between the 7th and 12th centuries. These impressive Cham towers are still actively used for worship by Cham, Chinese and Vietnamese Buddhists.

It is located on Cu Lao hill towards the East Sea in the Vinh Phuoc district of Nha Trang city in Khanh Hoa province.

If you are interested in history, you can be amazed to find hundreds of ancient relics displayed inside the complex.

If you want to discover the hidden charm of the Cham people’s culture, you can watch many traditional dance shows ON THE FESTIVE OCCASIONS. We enjoyed some.

The four Po Nagar Towers today are truly beautiful and charming. Each of them was built to dedicate to a unique deity.

Exploring the Ponagar Tower complex we can learn about the history and culture of the Cham people.

Enjoyed lunch in a local Vietnamese restaurant.

Nha Trang Oceanography Institute: In the afternoon Visited the Nha Trang Oceanography Institute.

Located at 1 Cau Da Street, next to Cau Da Wharf, about 6 km from Nha Trang City center. The Oceanographic Institute Nha Trang is also known as the National Oceanographic Museum of Vietnam.

  It is a leading marine research institute in South East Asia. It has currently stored and preserved thousands of specimens of thousands of marine species. Visiting the Institute, tourists seem to take part in a voyage of discovering the ocean.

Visiting the Institute, visitors will see firsthand the museum of marine life with more than 4,000 types of creatures and over 20,000 specimens that have been preserved for many years. Besides, there are also many living marine species raised in glass tanks.

Where anyone can learn about marine life through interactive exhibits and displays. My family saw various sea creatures, including sharks, turtles, and colorful fish

In the evening I enjoyed dinner at Indian restaurant Ganesh.

Booked tickets online at night for Win Wonder Nha Trang the next day.

Tickets included a round-trip cable car ride.

Day 3 = Enjoyed a good breakfast at Muong Thanh Hotel, we caught a taxi to reach the cable car station.

The Vinpearl Cable Car is a cross-sea cable car service connecting Nha Trang and the Pearl Islands. The cable is 3,320 meters long, giving you the experience of crossing the ocean. The carriage is made of transparent glass, which in imagination slowly approaches the mysterious Pearl Island. You will see blue water below your feet. Beauty is very intoxicating.

    We booked tickets online so there was no need to stand in queues. Just went to check in counter and scanned the QR code and got ready to enter the cable car.

   Vinpearl Land: Spent the whole day in Vinpearl Land. This is a large amusement park located on Hoan Tre Island in Nha Trang, with a variety of rides, water slides, a huge aquarium and entertaining shows.

Vinpearl Nha Trang today is a resort complex and attractive destination. The Vinpearl system in Nha Trang owns a system of luxurious and high-class hotels and resorts, Vinwonders Nha Trang amusement park, golf courses and an all-in-one service ecosystem that fully meets the needs of relaxation. From dining, entertainment, shopping to professional meetings.

Came back to the city at night. Enjoyed Indian dinner at Vandan, Indian restaurant.

Day 4 = Enjoyed breakfast at the hotel.

Checked out the hotel facilities. Swimming pool, gym.

Packed swimwear and spent the whole day at Nha Trang beach. Beautiful clear water, clean festive atmosphere.

Enjoyed dinner and walked to the bus station. Which was outside the city. We booked our tickets in advance. The bus is so easy to catch. Reached home early the next morning.

These activities provide a mix of entertainment, education and relaxation. Traveling to Nha Trang on Tet 2024 was a memorable and enjoyable experience for my families.
